Design Idea: The Mudroom

I'm packing for a ski trip to Utah and all of these boots, hats and gloves remind me of how important a good mudroom is to keeping the winter accessories orgazined.

If you don't have the space for a full-scale mudroom with all the built-in cabinetry, here are some ideas for a few things you could squeeze into a niche or a spot by the door to keep things functional and pretty:

Project Details: Kitchen Renovation

Another kitchen project of mine just finished up. As you can see in the floorplans, the kitchen and other rooms were choppy and small so we reworked the space to open things up:
